An organic blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Sangiovese, the 2019 Camartina (in a heavy glass bottle) shows dark fruit nuances with savory tobacco and spice. This wine is mostly driven by the heft and concentration of the French grape, but it also shows some of the bright cherry and freshness of the Italian grape. Some 10,000 bottles were released.
The team at Querciabella is building a new winery located just outside Greve in Chianti. It also acquired eight hectares of vines in Lamole with old stone terraces. Of those hectares, two have recently been replanted to Sangiovese. It will be exciting to see the results of this latest vineyard addition. - Monica Larner

OUR STORY
FOUNDERS AND BACKGROUND
Founders Marco Prete and Cristina Fragni have spent a lifetime in close contact with the top European winemakers and cellar masters, and have spent decades on their shared passion for learning, tasting, and even assisting in the production of fine wines.
After relocating to NYC in 2013, they found that many of their favorite vintages were not available in the US. Inspired by a lack of available inventory on the usual channels, they decided that it was essential to them personally and professionally to create a bespoke, world-class collection of fine wines available for US import.
The Wines of Kings collection of exquisite wines reflects the founders’ obsession with premium wines that are made authentically.
